Free Logo Design - Can You Really Get One for Free?
You must have heard a lot that there is nothing free in this world. It may be true for some industries, but when it comes to creating a logo, there is an exception to this rule. However, the question is that the websites that claim to offer free logos; do they really keep their promise and deliver more for no cost? There is no need to spend any money on your logo if you possess creativity and have the knowledge of branding. See, there are a lot of sites that allow you to create an account for free and then create your logo design to promote your business worldwide. After you will logo in, you will see some tools that will allow you to create your brand identity design. What you will have to do is to select your logo type, provide your business name and tag line, choose your desired colors and font-style and simply hit the "Create My Logo" button and your logo will be created by the website. They will show you the logo and email you the files for download.
Now, it all seems so easy and simple. So, is it really easy and free like this? Or, is there any catch?
Here is what happens after you receive your logo in email. You open your email and download the files. After downloading, you will notice that the logo you have created has a watermark and it advertises the website you used to create your logo. Now, no one would want to use a logo with watermark advertising some other site.
In order to remove it and own the logo, what you will have to do is to upgrade to their premium package which, of course, won't be free at all. The price of their premium services will either be the same or even more than how much a professional logo design company will charge you. Plus, the benefit of acquiring the services of a logo design company will be that you will receive a unique and customized logo. Also, you won't have to use your creativity and limited design knowledge. Their designers will take care of this part with style and perfection. So, all you will have to do is to discard the logo that you have received in the logo from the website claiming to provide free logos.
Even though you can delete those logos and forget about that site but that site will never forget you. Remember, you have given them your email address. They will use it to send you promotional emails. Or, they will simply sell your email address and make money out of it. You can then very well imagine the junk emails that will hit your inbox. So, it's advisable to avoid such sites and create your brand identity flawlessly by hiring a professional logo design company to ensure your business success.
