 Others use it after having a swim at the pool, or after a dip in the beach. Bathrobes provide that after-bath comfort all the time. It gives warmth and shields our bodies after a bath.

Bathrobes come in different types and in different styles. The choice you make depends on your personal style, your preferred material and thickness, your budget and primary purpose of using one.

There are many different types of bathrobes, but the basic ones are full length, body wraps, classic, luxury, hooded and personalized. The other types are just variants of these basics.

The bathrobe styles also vary. Some come in just simple and plain colors. Others come with designs of favorite cartoon characters, names or plaid look. There are bathrobe pieces that close up with buttons, some with ribbons.

Women's bathrobes generally look more aesthetic compared to the plainer looking ones of men. Just as women love to dress up, they also love to pick dainty pieces of bathrobes. For women, some of the popular styles are spa robes, short robes, heart micro cozy, chenille and luxury sateen robes.

Bathrobes for men look plainer. Most are just monotonous colors or otherwise of simple designs only. Some men's bathrobes come with hoods at the back. It is used to cover up the head as an extra feeling of warmth when needed. Men typically would also want their robes to have pockets. Even when taking a bath, they would like to keep their essentials with them, like a ring perhaps, some money or important keys.

Males generally prefer those robes with long sleeves, and those that extend long up to their ankles. The more covered they are, the better.

Male's styles of bathrobes are black terry, charcoal terry, burgundy strip, navy waffle weave, white waffle, and wine checked terry.

As for the young ones, male of female, they would usually go for the more animated look. They generally prefer bright colors, with designs of their favorite fictional characters. Dressing up is fun for them, including choosing their own bathrobes.

Boys and girls just differ in the kinds of animated designs they look for. Boys would prefer designs of cars, space ships, action heroes like Superman, dinosaurs and skateboards. Girls will go for Barbie, Disney characters like Mickey Mouse, hearts, lilies and butterflies.

Girls also prefer feminine colors like pink, yellow, red or orange. Light blue and even mint green would also do. Boys prefer dark colors.

Those boys that love sports would want those novelty bathrobes. There are also novelty bathrobes for girls. It really depends on the likes of the young ones.

For companies, they give bathrobes as their souvenirs. They have the name of the company embroidered in the bathrobes. Even a person can have their name embroidered in their bathrobes. It indicates a personal touch of the user. You can use embroidery in writing your names in your bathrobes or you can use beads for designs.

Bathrobes come in different kinds of cloth. They come in terry cloth, silk fiber and cotton. Terry cloth has two types: standard terry cloth and the French terry cloth. They are long lasting and absorbent. They offer a soft feeling. Silk Fiber is less absorbent. They offer luxury style of bathrobe.

Cotton has three types: waffle robes, cotton terry robes and cotton velour robes. They are very absorbent and very cool to feel. Whatever cloth you would choose, make sure that it would give you a fresh feeling that you would need.
