Which Fabric of Mens Suits to Choose

Mens suits have a meaning and pride when it place to a man wardrobe. These apparels are available in a wide variety of styles, colors, sizes and fabrics. A well-dressed mens suits fabric must be made solely from natural fibers.  In this article we explore the materials most often used in mens suits as well as the fabrics that popularized through the years.

Most mens suits are made from wool. A lot of people think that wool mens suits are not good to wear all year round. They think that this fabric is warm to wear. But with the right type of yarn that is being used and the right method of weaving, the preferred thickness and comfort can be achieved. Moreover wool fabric is good because it breathes easily, well, resists wrinkles and hold dyes. Wool can be made in a variety of weaves and weights.

A tweed, flannel and gabardine are all derived from wool fabric and constitute some of the general suit fabrics. To produce variations in fineness they are sometimes mixed with cotton. Moreover, mens suits are easy to maintain when it is resistant to wrinkles. A good quality of wool comes in grading of Super 100’s, 110’s, 120’s and 150 ‘s. The higher the numbers means better fineness of the wool fiber. To create a tighter weave they should be used more fine wool fiber, this also add a lesser crease and wrinkles on the wool. But the higher the grade the more expensive the wool will be.

Another alternative in fabric used in mens suits is cashmere, they have similar properties. However, this fabric is tends to be much softer, warmer and costly. In some places this fabric are tend to be a luxury.

In spring and summer wear a thin all cotton fabric is commonly used. Cotton seersucker is the prime runner. Cotton allows great air flow and doesn’t stick to the body in humid conditions. Linen is also used in summer styles. It is favored by luxury brands and considered higher-end than cotton. In addition, linen is light and feels very comfortable.

Silk mens suits are common in eastern cultures, and less frequent use in American market. This fabric is sometimes used in the inner layers of a suit regardless of its exterior fabric.

Another fabric is made out of synthetic fabrics like polyester. In this fabric it tends to be mixed with other fabrics in order to mimic a desirable property.

Choose a suit fabric. High-quality worsted wool is the most seasonally versatile. Cotton and linen are good for summer wear. Avoid blends that are made with too much polyester, as they don't breathe well and may look cheap.

Whichever fabric you intend to choose in your mens suits, be certain that you will going to dry-clean it as infrequently as possible. Dry-cleaning your mens suits shortens the life of any garment. You may use a brush on your suits, hang them after every wearing and steam them when excessive wrinkles make them not to look good.
